West Chestnut Hill Road

West Chestnut Hill Road has reopened after two weeks of bridge work.

One road in southern Newark has reopened, while another is slated to close next week.

West Chestnut Hill Road reopened Friday after being closed to through-traffic for the last two weeks for bridge repairs.

Starting Monday, nearby Welsh Tract Road will have its turn to undergo bridge work. The road will be closed to through-traffic between South College Avenue and Otts Chapel Road. The project is scheduled to last through Aug. 30.

Local traffic will be provided access during the closure.
