One road in southern Newark has reopened, while another is slated to close next week.
West Chestnut Hill Road reopened Friday after being closed to through-traffic for the last two weeks for bridge repairs.
Starting Monday, nearby Welsh Tract Road will have its turn to undergo bridge work. The road will be closed to through-traffic between South College Avenue and Otts Chapel Road. The project is scheduled to last through Aug. 30.
Local traffic will be provided access during the closure.
