Two construction projects will affect traffic in downtown Newark over the next week.
North College Avenue will remain closed between Main Street and Cleveland Avenue through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, to allow CSX to replace equipment and complete general maintenance to the tracks.
The work was supposed to be finished Thursday but was delayed due to rain.
Meanwhile, Tyre Avenue will be closed from Monday, Nov. 16, through Friday, Nov. 20, due to construction of a new mixed-use building at the site of the recently-demolished Fulton Bank.
Local traffic will be permitted, but no through-traffic will be allowed on the road.
