Artist reception: Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Newark Arts Alliance, 276 E. Main St. A reception will be held for The Leadership Show, an exhibition and competition for members of the Delaware Foundation for the Visual Arts. The exhibit will be on display through Aug. 31. Free.
Camp Awesome: Monday, 9 a.m., at White Clay Creek State Park Nature Center, 1475 Creek Road. Campers will have the opportunity to do a little bit of everything from playing games, to fishing, to exploring the woods, to tubing. Kids must be able to swim.
