A Newark woman is facing her fourth DUI charge after crashing into a house in Fairfield early Monday morning, police said.
The crash happened just after midnight in the 600 block of North Country Club Drive, according to Lt. Andrew Rubin, a spokesman for the Newark Police Department.
The driver, Diane Petrongolo, 56, fled the scene, Rubin said. The house wasn’t damaged, but there were tire tracks in the grass.
Police located Petrongolo parked nearby and arrested her without incident.
She was charged with fourth offense DUI, which is a felony, and leaving the scene of a crash. She was jailed after failing to post $300 secured bail.
