Police have arrested a Newark man accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend in her Hunt at Louviers home.
The incident happened at 6:16 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 300 block of Amoroso Way, according to Master Cpl. William Smith, a spokesman for the Newark Police Department.
The victim told police that her ex-boyfriend, 23-year-old Desi Roberson, was staying at her house.
“The victim stated that they engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical when the suspect struck the victim in the face and strangled the victim,” Smith said.
Initially, police were not able to locate Roberson and issued a public plea for information regarding his whereabouts. On Sept. 2, he was arrested on unrelated charges by New Castle County Police.
Roberson was charged with strangulation, terroristic threatening and offensive touching. He was jailed after failing to post $4,500 secured bail.
