Police are investigating a number of thefts from vehicles that occurred over the last week.

The first incident, which happened on May 28 between 2:25 and 2:35 a.m., occurred in the 400 block of Wollaston Avenue. According to Lt. Andrew Rubin, a spokesman for the Newark Police Department, an unknown person stole items. There was no forced entry.

Between May 28 at 8 p.m. and May 29 at 6:51 a.m., someone removed items from a car parked in the unit block of Townsend Road.

In the 100 block of Manns Avenue, between 3:09 and 3:15 a.m. on May 29, someone stole items from a parked vehicle. Rubin said the thief was described as “possibly a white male in his 20s wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a backpack.”

On May 31, items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the unit block of South Wynwyd Road between 1 and 7 a.m.

On June 2, between 7:30 and 7:49 a.m., items were stolen from a car parked in the 200 block of East Main Street.
