For the second year in a row, the pandemic has forced the cancellation of Newark’s Easter egg hunt at White Clay Creek State Park.
However, this year, the Parks and Recreation Department is offering local families a way to recreate the fun from home.
For $10, each registered child will be given a Hunt @ Home kit containing a dozen pre-filled eggs containing candy and toys, as well as craft supplies, activities and other “springtime goodies.”
Participants must register by March 13 at newarkde.gov/play.
Registrants can drive through and pick up Hunt @ Home kits at the Newark Municipal Building, 220 South Main Street, March 24 to 26 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Parks and Recreation Department is also seeking businesses and individuals interested in donating prizes for the event.
