A large food distribution event at Glasgow High School has been rescheduled due to the tropical storm.
Organized by the Food Bank of Delaware, the event is now set for Tuesday, Aug. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. The mobile food pantry has the capacity to serve as many as 1,500 families.
All food recipients must stay in their vehicle and should make sure their trunks or back seats are cleared out so volunteers can load food with minimal interaction.
Recipients must bring proof of ID and Delaware residency.
Participants are encouraged to register at AugNewCastleCountyFood.eventbrite.com, though on-site registration will be available. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Glasgow High is located at 1901 S. College Ave.
Anyone in need of immediate assistance should call 211 to be directed to the appropriate resources.
