Summer concert series

The annual summer concert series at White Clay Creek State Park continues Wednesday.

Holy Family Summerfest: Friday, 5 to 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, July 13, 1 to 10:30 p.m.; Sunday, July 14, 1 to 9:30 p.m., at Holy Family Church, 15 Gender Road. The annual carnival includes rides, games, food and live music. Free admission and parking, but a charge applies for rides.

Artist reception: Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Newark Arts Alliance, 276 E. Main St. A reception will be held for the arts alliance’s members show. The exhibit will be on display through Aug. 2. Free.

Hotel meeting: Sunday, 1 p.m., at SpringHill Suites, 402 Ogletown Road. Developer George Danneman will host a community meeting to discuss his proposal for a 10-story hotel and parking garage on Main Street.

Concert: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at White Clay Creek State Park’s Carpenter Recreation Area, 880 New London Road. Monkeephiles will perform as part of the park's weekly summer concert series. Free, but park fees apply.

Concert: Thursday, 6 p.m., at Glasgow Park, 2275 Pulaski Highway. Gill Henry Live will perform as part of New Castle County’s weekly summer concert series. Food trucks will offer food for purchase. Free.
