“Little Shop of Horrors”: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., at Christiana High School, 190 Salem Church Road. Christiana High School will perform the popular musical. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $8 for students and seniors, $10 for adults.
Trombone concert: Saturday, 11:30 a.m., at Roselle Center for the Arts, 130 Amstel Ave. The annual UD Trombone Day Festival will include performances by Peter Steiner (trombone) and Constanze Hochwartner (piano).
Rock concert: Sunday, 2 p.m., at Newark Country Club, 300 W. Main St. This event is a fundraiser for the Delaware Rock and Roll Society (formerly Delaware Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). The organization will welcome inductees Club Phred, Lue Cazz, Mario Rocco, and Joe Allegro. Michele Christopher, daughter of Lue Cazz, Randy Becker and George Wolkind will also be singing Light refreshments included and a cash bar will be available. Save Mickey dinner: Monday, 6 p.m., at Deerfield Country Club, 507 Thompson Station Road. The event will feature food from 12 local chefs, live music, a top-shelf open bar and silent auctions. Benefits the Save Mickey Association, which supports 6-year-old Mickey Merrill, who has the rare disease Sanfilippo Syndrome. Tickets $125 at savemickey.com.
City council meeting: Monday, 7 p.m., at city hall, 220 S. Main St. Council will debate a proposal to charge a fee for paying bills using a credit card. It will also hear the Greater Wilmington Visitors and Convention Bureau’s request to receive part of the city’s lodging tax revenue.
School board meeting: Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., at Brookside Elementary School, 800 Marrows Road. The board will discuss the referendum, the superintendent search and renovations to the district’s Wilmington schools.
