New Ark Chorale

Audience members wave flags and sing along as the New Ark Chorale concludes its Memorial Day show by performing “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” last year.

Arty Party: Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m., at Wynn Breslin Studio, 470 Terrapin Lane. Artist Wynn Breslin will discuss her new and retrospective work, including paintings, sculpture, pottery, lithographs and serigraphy. Free.

Memorial Day concert: Sunday, 3 p.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 701 S. College Ave. The New Ark Chorale will perform patriotic songs. An ice cream social will follow the concert. Tickets are $15 and available at the door. Kids under 18 admitted free.

Council meeting: Tuesday, 7 p.m., at city hall, 220 S. Main St. Council will discuss electric vehicles, remediation of the Rodney site and changes to a development project on Ogletown Road, among other issues. Note that the meeting is on Tuesday, not Monday as usual, because of the Memorial Day holiday.

Concert: Thursday, 7 to 8 p.m., at the Academy Lawn, 105 E. Main St. The Newark Parks and Recreation Department’s spring concert series continues with a performance by Mike Barry. Free.
