Hangover Helper 5K

New Year’s Eve Labyrinth Walk: Tuesday, 8 to 10 p.m., at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, 420 Willa Road. Enjoy a peaceful, candle-lit Labyrinth Walk to end the old year and start the new year with love and gratitude. If the spirit moves you, please bring some treats to enjoy with others before or after your time experiencing the labyrinth.

Hangover Helper 5K: Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Olan Thomas Park, 89 Paper Mill Road. An after-party is planned at Klondike Kate’s. Registration $25 at www.fusionracetiming.com.

First Day hikes: Wednesday, 1 p.m., at White Clay Creek State Park. Park staff invites community members to start off 2019 with a hike outdoors.
