Fabulous Friday

NPD Park Pop-Up: Friday, 2 to 4 p.m., White Chapel Park, 40 Whitechapel Dr. Meet and greet the Newark Police officers while playing games, eating ice cream and enjoying some giveaways at the park.

Family Fun Night: [UPDATE: The event has been canceled due to weather.] Friday, 5 to 8 p.m., Handloff Park, 1000 Barksdale Road. At this family-friendly event, the Newark Parks and Recreation Department will have games and activities, and the Newark Police Department will host a bicycle rodeo for free. Pony rides, face painting and a small train will also be available, but fees apply. Food trucks will be present.

Fabulous Friday: Friday, 6 p.m., East Main Street. As part of the ongoing summer event Fabulous Fridays, this iteration will focus on music. There will be roaming performances on Main Street by Dylan Hepner, Levi Dylan, Orion Freeman and Nic Snow with Jeffrey Attakorah. The Newark Symphony Orchestra will perform on the Academy Lawn. Jack Barley will perform from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by Laura Rodgers, Steven Field and Louisa Marks from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Theater Performance: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., Roselle Center for the Arts, Thompson Theatre 110 Orchard Road. The University of Delaware Community Music School Musical Theatre Camp will perform the production “Annie.” $10 for adults, $5 for children.

Yoga in the Park:  Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., White Clay Creek State Park Nature Center, 1475 Creek Road. Enjoy the nature while getting exercise in. Julie Macedo of Well by Nature will lead an hour-long vinyasa yoga session open for all levels of experience. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel and a water bottle. $6 per person. Summer concert: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at White Clay Creek State Park, 880 New London Road. Dukes of Destiny will perform as part of the park's weekly summer concert series. Free, but park fees apply.
