Turkey Trot

Church bazaar: Nov. 12 and 13, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Nov. 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at St. Thomas’s Episcopal Parish, 276 S. College Ave. The church will hold its annual bazaar, offering unique gifts for all occasions. All proceeds go to local charities.

Concert: Nov. 19, 8 p.m., at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, 420 Willa Road. The Brandywine Friends of Old Time Music will host a performance by Robin & Linda Williams. They perform a robust blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time and acoustic country that combines wryly observant lyrics with a wide-ranging melodicism. Tickets $10-$20. Turkey Trot: Nov. 20, at Handloff Park, 1000 Barksdale Road. Newark Parks and Recreation will hold the traditional pre-Thanksgiving 5K and 10K. Registration begins at 8 a.m, with the 10K starting at 9 and the 5K starting at 10:30. Sign up for $25-$30 at www.races2run.com. Coats will be collected for the needy.

German Christmas Festival: Nov. 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Delaware Saengerbund, 49 Salem Church Road. Event includes dancing and a white elephant sale. German food, baked goods and candy will be available for purchase. Free admission and free parking.

Concert: Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m., at Newark United Methodist Church, 69 E. Main St. The Newark Symphony Orchestra will perform. Tickets $8-$15.
