Who remembers being welcomed into the library by that wonderful whiff of books just waiting to be taken home and read under a shady tree or under the covers? The good news is that the whiff is still there at the Newark Free Library, but there is so much more to capture your attention.

Consider the Library of Things. The what? That’s right, the Library of Things will let you borrow a croquet set, a nail gun and other tools, a podcast microphone player and other electronic equipment, cameras, games for the family and more. Library patrons now have access to items that they may not otherwise be able to afford or just want to try out.
