Delaware State Police have released photos of a man who robbed a 7-11 store at 100 Four Seasons Parkway south of Newark and later made a second hold-up attempt.
The incident occurred at 2:05 a.m. on May 21st when the suspect displayed a dark-colored handgun and demanded money and cigarettes from the 46-year-old clerk. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes, the suspect fled from the business and was last seen running west of the store. The victim was not injured.
The next day, at approximately 4 a.m., the same suspect attempted to rob the same store. However, the suspect, who was armed with a handgun, could not enter the store, since the doors were locked. He then fled on foot in an eastbound direction towards Del. Route 896.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with an average build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and had a white cloth covering the top of his head and face as well as white cloth covering his arms and hands. He was also wearing dark colored pants and white sneakers.
